Looking for a V8 Datsun Z for my little brother. Reasonable prices please. We are looking to spend about 2500.00 if that is possible.

v-8 are a lot of fun, but highly unlikely that you will find one in mechanically sound detail that cheap. contact the boys at stealth conversions in L.A. (Jags That Run) I spoke with them about a heavily used z-8, that they were looking to unload for about 4000.00, about two months ago. Hint... DONT tell them it's for your little brother. These are extreeeeeeme cars, and they wont even talk to you if they dont think you have an extensive knowledge of the capabilities of such. They are out there though, and the chance that you will find one at that price is not too far out . keep looking at the parts and equiptment traders. Good Luck!

Thanks for the info, but I already got one for my little brother. The whole electrical was redone from front to back with a new custom made fuse box. Put some Autometer gauges in and getting ready to put in a radio system for him now. The coilover swap, trans change, and body and paint will be next. Hope to finish by the MSA event. He is driving around it some now, but it will be back on jackstands again soon.

are you converting Z's for your ownself, or as a business/service or what? I have been considering a V8 in my 73 for years now. Now that i own 2 Z's, it looks a bit more practical- except its beyond my scope of abilities, i fear..

I may consider hiring it done, if i find the right person/price. Would this be your gig, or know of an able & worthwhile shop?
