Who caught that TV show last night on Velocity?

Anybody get the name of the show? The muscle car-bound Velocity channel actually broadcasted a program other than Mecum auctions and Overhaulin'....and guess what??? It was about JAPANESE classic cars!!! Whoooppeeee!!! I couldn't believe it, I just arrived back in town from a week with the relatives and turned on the TV to see Z cars and Skylines and Japanese people speaking what else? JAPANESE! With subtitles even. I thought it was a programming glitch...but now I can't find the show anywhere in the programming guide (which doesn't show anything from yesterday, only future schedules). I've searched their website up & down and I can't find anything. I'm certain that it was the Velocity channel. Anyone else see it?

Dennis what was the name of the show?

No idea of the name and I'm unable to access yesterday's TV schedule on line. I looked to see if it would be on next week, but nothing listed. A mystery. Time to dig up a copy of TV Guide to see if it's listed.

Definitely not. No offense if that's what some people like, but I can't tolerate the show...it and others like it are at best 23 minute informercials. The only program in that genre which dared to showcase a Japanese company as a classic marque was Dennis Gage's series; he dedicated an entire episode to Datsun, but unfortunately it can't be purchased as a separate episode.

I can look up programs from yesterday, and the exact time wasn't mentioned. The only shows on Velocity Saturday night was Wheeler Dealers and Retro Car Kings. Unless it was a newly recorded show, it's probably the Retro Car Kings show that has been posted here, about some guys that like to restore S30s, but with modern engines and upgraded chassis, and an older guy that likes to just restore them with handmade steel panels.

Dennis Gage and his crew were at the ZCON in Nashville. TN.

that depends on your attitude towards classic cars.

You might appreciate it when people put in modern, machine made, parts and engines just for the purpose of going fast or getting a project done fast, or you may appreciate the patience, skills, and real talent it takes to create the parts of the car, like the body panels and engine and chassis parts, like they did when the automobile was invented. In fact, back then, one person built the ENTIRE car! I appreciate the latter; it's just too easy to stuff new parts in an old chassis. You can just go to your local new car dealer and buy it ready-made and save all the work.
