I've owned my 240Z for 23yrs (it was my first car). Here's the Auto Trader ad from 1991 that led me to my 240Z:

Here's my 240Z as it looked before it was lowered, side molding removed, front airdam added, new hood, early 240Z front bumper swapped, painted and new 16" wheels added:

After I graduated grade 12 in 1982 I bought my first car for $700 which is a 240Z that I've always wanted, even though she was beat up and rusted I still have her

The blue one was taken from 1977 to 1979, can't remember. If the other side was shown I could tell as the wheel covers came off when jumping Rail Road tracks at a high speed, never did find them. The other one is what it looked like 26 years later. Two years after getting out of the back of the garage it looked like the finished product.

Here is mine, in 1995 I got my first car was a 1972 240Z(originaly 112 yellow) for my 26th birthday from a gentleman in California. He bought this car at Wally Tucker DATSUN ,700 Baker Street, Bakersfield CA.

The car is HLS30-67518, 02/72.

When I saw this car, it was light blue metallic already, I fell in love instantly.

Spent only 5months with this car,I returned him the car the day just before my returning flight to Japan .I could not afford to own the car in Japan at that time.

Casey - I actually was back in Ontario last year and dropped by to see Laverne (22yrs after I bought my 240Z from him!). He has quite the collection of Z's!
