January 18, 201411 yr comment_439874 Your 300 looks great! I hope you get more than enough for it too. That VW reminds me of one of my favorite movies, 48 Hours, they used a higher price named car but pretty much the same car. It looks great and I'm sure your wife loves it too. January 21, 201411 yr Author comment_440022 Just thought I would let everyone know I heard from the seller and the 240z sold. I don't know where it is headed or who bought it but it's off the market for now. January 28, 201411 yr Author comment_440566 Thank you Fred. I was looking for a Shiro when I bought the red turbo '88. My 300zx just sold late last week and the buyer already has it in Miami FL. All of my efforts are focused on the Karmann Ghia but I still look for 240z's every day on CL. August 12, 20213 yr comment_626729 Seems to have undergone quite a metamorphosis since 2014. Even the sunroof appears to have self healed. As described on Craigslist 2014 and EBAY 2021: 2014: Body/Underside heavily rusted. Would need Floor Pans, Left Rocker, Engine Frame Rails, etc, etc. 2021: RUST FREE Classic Z car has been been well preserved and maintained. August 12, 20213 yr comment_626755 This 240Z is proof that there is a "witness protection" program for old rusty cars that enables them to assume new identities in a new location and with a whole new back story. As Fox Mulder used to say on the X-Files, "Trust no one".
