Posted January 18, 201411 yr comment_439899 Hello All, Trying to put the interior back in and I am not sure if the hole in the picture had something going through a grommet or just a plug. I cant find any pics that show it before I took it apart, all have something in the way. Any help is appreciated!! Thank you, Jeff Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/48373-hole-in-floor-next-to-fuse-box/ Share on other sites
January 19, 201411 yr comment_439902 I'm 95% sure that is a drain for the A/C system. On my car, there was a hose running through there, with a sealed grommet of course to keep out weather. My A/C was no longer functional so when I removed it from the car I just capped this off with a rubber plug sealed with some sort of weatherproofing.Hope that helps.Mike. January 19, 201411 yr comment_439903 My car has a factory rubber plug in that hole. There was no factory A/C until 73-74 (?) and this hole is too high for a drain coming all the way from the passenger footwell area. Purpose = unexplained. January 19, 201411 yr Author comment_439904 Thanks for the replies, I was pretty sure it was a plug in my car and wanted to verify before installing the center console. January 19, 201411 yr comment_439913 The picture is what it is. I wonder if Australian or British FSM's have the same drawings, or if they get their own.
