Posted February 5, 201411 yr comment_441054 New to the forum here. I purchased a 1972 240z from a member here. I want to replace the carb bowl to nozzle hoses. Does it matter what type of fuel hose I use? I saw this link and was wondering if it had to be thin or special type hose. February 5, 201411 yr comment_441055 To work right it has to be a special flexible pre-molded hose, otherwise it'll side load the nozzle and interfere with the choke returning.Last I checked ZTherapy stocks them, probably other folks too. February 5, 201411 yr comment_441057 I've never tried anything aftermarket but the problem probably lies in the stiffness & possibly the diameter. The stiffness would likely bind up the nozzles when the choke is used and cause them to stick and eventually wear. My only source for them has been Ztherapy. Go for the good ones. One less thing to worry about.Mark in Portland Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/48500-su-carb-bowl-to-nozzle-hose/#findComment-441057 Share on other sites

February 5, 201411 yr comment_441064 I've seen fuel grade hoses of different sizes at Home Depots lawn mower parts section... may work in a pinch Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/48500-su-carb-bowl-to-nozzle-hose/#findComment-441064 Share on other sites
February 5, 201411 yr comment_441070 I bought new hoses from ZT and they were really soft. I ended up swapping them for clear hoses that came with my Mity-Vac vacuum pump kit. That way, I could see if I didn't have any fuel going to the carbs from the bowls.
