I don't have any metal snaps on the passenger side tunnel, where the emergency brake boot attaches to. Would anyone know how these metal snaps are connected to the tunnel? 71Z. Thank you, TimsZ

There *should* be snaps on the tunnel vinyl to attach them to. At least there are on mine. Just a caveat though, my vinyl is new reproduction from Classic Datsun Motorsport in Vista California. Not sure if the snaps were on the original or not...

This is where the snaps are on a 1/1970 car. Looks like they are just riveted to the vinyl. I found new snaps at thrifty hardware that fit the front carpet snaps, from eyeball they look like the same size used here.

You are welcome TimsZ. Here is a thread that describes sources for the front carpet snaps, I just checked and they are the same size as the ones for the ebrake boot. There may be other threads on snaps.
