Posted February 16, 201411 yr comment_441734 New to the forum and didn't see any threads. I've seen many pics of wipers sticking up and not laying down. I can get a new motor but wanted to see if there was a simple fix. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/48580-wiper-reset/ Share on other sites

February 17, 201411 yr Author comment_441745 Yes they park in the up position. I pulled the motor out today but not sure what to look for and what might be bad. I want them to park in the normal position Edited February 17, 201411 yr by Razerworkz Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/48580-wiper-reset/#findComment-441745 Share on other sites
February 17, 201411 yr comment_441749 My wipers will do that if you turn the switch off at the wrong time. It seems like I have to turn them off on the down stroke to avoid the problem. But then I have a 1971 240Z, with only two speeds. The 260Z is more sophisticated, giving it more failure modes. February 17, 201411 yr comment_441753 After I replaced the wiper motor on my 73 my wipers did the same thing. Turns out I re-installed the linkage wrong. It has been about ten years and I don't recall specifically what I did to fix it, but you might look into the linkage. February 17, 201411 yr comment_441758 I wonder if putting the slot on the end of the linkage that goes on the motor shaft 180 degrees out would cause the wipers to park pointing up?
