April 7, 201410 yr comment_445314 The problem with rare cars is that rarity makes pricing is problematic for the seller as well as the buyer. I have a neighbor trying to sell a DD quality '65 Austin Healey Sprite that she has owned for a very long time. She has a sign on it "$19,999 OBO". Unfortunately, it probably worth between $5-6K. Potential buyers shy away from a reasonable offer because the seller indicates she does not have reasonable expectations.
