March 12, 201411 yr comment_443202 That passenger side frame rail looks pretty weak to me. Get some inside pictures of the pans, too. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/48743-240z-floor-panel-replacement-or-not/#findComment-443202 Share on other sites
March 12, 201411 yr comment_443203 It would be too hard to call with all the undercoating on there. The floors look pretty solid. I was expecting to see holes by your description. Start scrapping!! March 12, 201411 yr comment_443209 Move your battery & check the frame rail, fire wall & rear of the wheel well. This is a common area for rust to hide. Your passenger rail makes me think there may be more rust.Mark in Portland Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/48743-240z-floor-panel-replacement-or-not/#findComment-443209 Share on other sites
November 28, 201410 yr comment_459407 my passanger floor started out with a small hole the size of a quarter. I took a screw driver and started poking around. It revealed my passanger floor to be swiss cheese. Also my battery tray where it meets the inner fender is rusted. So is my hatch and a couple small holes on the dog legs . My car has issues... November 28, 201410 yr comment_459414 If there's just one big hole then I would patch it. But if the floor is swiss cheese then it'll have to be replaced. The one frame rail looks rough. November 28, 201410 yr comment_459436 Yea, you have the beginning of a vary serious problem. Clean away most of the undercoating and clean out the seams to see what you are really looking at. I wouldn't say you need new floors and rails yet, but a good cleaning and patching is in order.
