Posted February 26, 200322 yr comment_27935 So, it came with NGKs and should stay with NGKs, but what about the iridium, or platinum, or anything else? I'm in NY, so I have temperature variations between below freezing in the winter to well above hot in the summer, and I have a higher output coil and some decent spark wires. Should I just stick the 6es in there, or upgrade to something else? Thanks in advance,Chris Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/4878-spark-plugs-ngk-yeah/ Share on other sites

February 26, 200322 yr comment_27971 I like the NGK or if you can find them the Nippo Denso U grooves. I probably spelled it wrong, but you get the idea. I have used these MANY MANY times, great plug!!As far ar those platnum, splitfires, those are JUNK. I can't throw them far enough away from my cars.- My small bit of knowledge and experience. February 27, 200322 yr comment_28023 I was running Champion Gold but seemed to have problems with oiling up (tired motor doesn't help.)Switched to NGK's on 1st son's advice as he is heavily involved in motorbike racing in Oz. As bikes rev at around 16000rpm, I followed his advice and haven't had a probem since.:classic: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/4878-spark-plugs-ngk-yeah/#findComment-28023 Share on other sites

March 13, 200322 yr Author comment_29555 ...for the replies. I already have the Magnecore wires (I think I got the 8mm ones..) and a higher output coil. I'm gonna grab some NGKs when I get a chance. Of course, when I wait for the weather to be above freezing, everything works almost immediately. Maybe I'm just impatiant, and the plugs aren't so tired after all. Thanks again,Chris Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/4878-spark-plugs-ngk-yeah/#findComment-29555 Share on other sites
