April 12, 201410 yr comment_445630 It ran good for awhile when you replaced the fuel filter? Sounds like you've got a messy gas tank. I would put a filter between the tank and the fuel pump and get another metal fuel filter up front. Keep an eye on the clear one at the tank to see how quick it dirties up. April 12, 201410 yr comment_445635 It is typically fuel as above but if you rule that out then it is usually distributor/timing Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/48842-not-going-past-4100-rmps-while-driving/?&page=2#findComment-445635 Share on other sites

April 12, 201410 yr Author comment_445657 Think I figured it out, the rear filter was disgusting, I replace it let the car run go 20 minute and took it for a test run. She pulled great right threw the problem area and beyond. I'm gonna keep my eyes on the filter to see of fast it gets dirty. Hopefully I don't have to clean out the gas tank. Thanks again guys couldn't have done it without you. -Nick Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/48842-not-going-past-4100-rmps-while-driving/?&page=2#findComment-445657 Share on other sites

April 13, 201410 yr comment_445693 Take the sending unit cover off, under the spare tireWrong, wrong wrong, it was my bedtime! That cover is under the spare tire tool kit. You'll lift out the fuel gauge sending unit, about a foot deep.
