March 20, 20169 yr comment_489660 That looks like someone colour stained that steering wheel, there will be a deep mahogany red under that. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/48954-my-best-260z-yet/?&page=3#findComment-489660 Share on other sites
March 20, 20169 yr comment_489737 the steering wheel will sand down easily - work your way up to 500 grit then a furniture oil finish (i used lemon oil) will rub in and it will look fantastic and feel even better. even though it's not real wood, it has a great feel and will actually take a little oil nicely. some folks use heavy clear coats, but they feel a little "plastic-like" and you have to deal w/chips & flakes over time. January 11, 20178 yr Author comment_509995 Thread probably belongs on Hybridz at this point, but anyway, the intake is on with 550 RC injectors. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/48954-my-best-260z-yet/?&page=3#findComment-509995 Share on other sites

March 14, 20178 yr Author comment_515339 Not a lot to report, some inter cooler piping, LS coil packs, etc. Definitely planning on stripping the red (Corvette) paint and taking it back to its original sky blue. But it will be awhile before that happens. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/48954-my-best-260z-yet/?&page=3#findComment-515339 Share on other sites
March 14, 20178 yr comment_515345 Looks good. I like the red. Surprised your running the IC piping behind the rad. Are you going to run an AIT? Curious what your temps end up? January 22, 20187 yr Author comment_540456 Small updates, trying life with the custom intake, a new 90A alternator and a custom accelerator cable. She's almost ready to run, had some varnish in the fuel tank that needed scrubbing. Not running an oil cooler just yet.  Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/48954-my-best-260z-yet/?&page=3#findComment-540456 Share on other sites
