April 8, 201410 yr comment_445413 assuming it's the S30 in your "garage", you'll be pleasantly surprised how easy it is to get into the odometer section and set the numbers to whatever you want. i set one a few years back (actually had roll it forward) to match the miles on my car in less time than it would have taken me to find my drill. April 10, 201410 yr comment_445517 I hooked a Dremmel to a motorcycle odometer once. It started clicking them off pretty good so I went upstairs to get a beer or something. Came back and the gauge was full of smoke, the plastic bits had melted. $200 for a used gauge cluster that had 2,000 less miles than mine. April 10, 201410 yr comment_445524 Hey Y'all, watch this! Most of my adventures start with those words and end with "Mom I'm OK but you need to come to emergency room". It's easier asking for forgiveness than permission. April 10, 201410 yr Author comment_445531 That's a felony charge where I live.In Georgia, if I decided to sell it at some point, I'd just fill out a form stating that the mileage on the car is not the actual mileage. Which, as a matter of fact, it will be. New motor, rebuilt trans, rebuilt diff, new interior, new suspension, new wheels, etc etc etc. So, thank God we aren't quite to the nanny state that Canada is! April 11, 201410 yr comment_445594 That's a good question:What conditions do you have to satisfy to be able to reset the odometer to zero? I suppose you just need a total restoration of all the mechanical stuff, like the engine, transmission, and suspension. If there is no historical record you could be buying some hodge podge of thrown together parts. You and I and probably many of the members of this forum could spot thatkind of deception but the general public could not. There are many things I would like to change about the great country of Canada, but it hasn't been a nanny state for a very long time. Nanny State is usually a term thrown around by right wing morons that haven't bothered to do their own reshearch and rely on someone elses opinion.
