any price under a grand is a steal. i can't imagine the prices for these have gone down. current bid only 735 bucks and only 3 hrs

to go. perhaps they've become less valuable since we have been

repairing them ourselves with foam and bondo.

I would think the marks above the center console are holding a lot of people back.

^^Agreed^^ I was going to jump in but not with the indentions. Maybe a heat-gun could remove them and maybe not.

easy spot repair for some of the dash repair guru's here. maybe a heat gun on them and a quick quench with a cold towel would

shrink them back. but, yea you're probably right. the big money

oem buyers want perfect.

The other undeniable reality is 40 year old plastic is still 40 years old.

I'd much rather spend my money on a rebuilt then taking chances with an

NOS piece.

^ a friend of mine works in the plastic injection molding field, he said if you have the injection mold for the dash, making the actual dash is cheap. The problem is plastic injection molding is about numbers to make the costs low, so making a few would still cost alot.

Sold. $1325 US.

Imagine what the final price would have been if it had been perfect.

I noticed that 72Z dash has a metal flat bar across that goes under the radio. The 71Z I used to have and the 70Z I have now have a plastic piece there. On both of my cars that plastic piece broke, I guess the metal bar is a better idea.
