August 17, 201410 yr Author comment_453639 According to my bathroom scale.... the flywheel is about 10.3 lbs and the pressure plate is about the same. The clutch disc is only 2 or 3 lbs. August 18, 201410 yr comment_453665 Thanks. I can't remember what the 280Z pressure plates weigh. I think a bit under 10kg, but I might be thinking of the thinner 240Z early model. Its a nice looking set-up you have.CheersChas Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/49193-my-datsun-280z-rustoration/?&page=13#findComment-453665 Share on other sites
August 22, 201410 yr Author comment_453911 Here are the receipts from Fastenal and Clipsandfasteners.com for all of my yellow zinc hardware. I bought a little extra just to be safe so this list is NOT exact. Hope it helps someone. August 28, 201410 yr Author comment_454258 Hey guys, I bought a 240Z steering wheel and i'm in need of a horn pad and the pieces that mount it to the wheel. If anyone has one laying around let me know how much. September 3, 201410 yr comment_454706 Haz, you are doing an amazing job!! You should bring up to my place for the "Aspen changing" would love to see the ride in person. Sorry, can't help you with the steering wheel, I replaced mine with a 14" wheel, but I can't remember the name of the company(old timers disease kicked in). Anyway, my wheel looks very nice and I love the finger grips on it. Keep up the great work. September 6, 201410 yr comment_454804 I used the 260/280 horn on the 240 wheel I put it my car, it required making a little mount bracket and was overall a horrible experience where I convinced all my neighbors that I'm a psycho who honks at everyone that drives by, but it works great now.
