September 6, 201410 yr comment_454805 I used the 260/280 horn on the 240 wheel I put it my car, it required making a little mount bracket and was overall a horrible experience where I convinced all my neighbors that I'm a psycho who honks at everyone that drives by, but it works great now. That made my day...thanks! 1DPONG|| Edited September 6, 201410 yr by Blue Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/49193-my-datsun-280z-rustoration/?&page=14#findComment-454805 Share on other sites

I thought about doing that too but I just like the smaller size of the 240 horn. September 7, 201410 yr Author comment_454826 Just finished a few more things on the list. Installed the vinyl trim on my pillars and did my headliner. I followed this link from Blue and worked great. Only difference is I bought the kit from Motorsport. http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/interior-s30/43801-roof-liner-header-liner-pillar-vinyl-installation.html The glue they send with their headliner kit is garbage, throw it away or give it to your wife to do crafts and stuff. I went to Autozone and bought this: Its pricey ($25 a can) but its the real deal. This is the same stuff they use at Automotive upholstery shops. (I used to work at an upholstery shop). I also put in the dash and finished most of the wiring. September 7, 201410 yr comment_454859 looking great - love watching the progress.btw - i also bought the headliner kit from msa but used their spray glue. it seems to be holding up just fine for me. i put sound mat on the ceiling and used pretty much the whole can. the only issue i ran into was my lack of experience doing a headliner (it's tricky and in a cramped car working upside down i made a couple of mistakes) maybe i'll be re-doing it in a few years if the glue doesn't hold, but it's been almost a year, through a winter and a hot summer and so far so good... Glad to hear it worked out for you, I couldnt get it to stick. Did you do the pillars too or just the headliner? Because I dont think the headliner needs as much to stick. September 12, 201410 yr comment_455248 The dash looks fantastic! Wish I took pics of mine before I covered it with the full face dash cover. I don't think mine is repairable, that's how bad it looked!
