November 9, 20159 yr comment_480822 I'm curious if the steering feels much heavier with the 8" wheels over the 7" ones you used to have./M Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/49193-my-datsun-280z-rustoration/?&page=47#findComment-480822 Share on other sites
November 10, 20159 yr Author comment_480836 I cant really tell a difference. I went from a 205/50/16 to a 205/55/15. A little more sidewall. November 18, 20159 yr comment_481254 Hey Matt, how did you set your camber on the BC coilovers? Before installation? Can you make adjustments without removing them as I see you didn't cut your strut towers.... You have to raise the car, unbolt the coilover at the strut housing, then adjust it with an allen wrench. Not the easiest but once its set, its done. November 18, 20159 yr comment_481267 Any particular reason you didn't trim the towers? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/49193-my-datsun-280z-rustoration/?&page=47#findComment-481267 Share on other sites
November 19, 20159 yr Author comment_481270 Mainly because the paint and interior were already finished. If I was to do it again, I would've done the 4 bolt camber plates before I painted the car. November 19, 20159 yr comment_481272 What advantage is there in the four bolt other than greater range? Stronger?I would think the extra bolt holes would weaken the strut tower top... November 19, 20159 yr Author comment_481273 Greater range, convenience mostly. I haven't read any reports of drilling extra holes weaken the tops or not. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/49193-my-datsun-280z-rustoration/?&page=47#findComment-481273 Share on other sites
November 19, 20159 yr comment_481279 Oh and what shocks came with the coilovers? They're not listed on the JPN garage site Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/49193-my-datsun-280z-rustoration/?&page=47#findComment-481279 Share on other sites
