I don't surf the porn sites, and rarely even click on the Boobs thread, but I consistently, like a few times a day, have a banner ad at the top of the classiczcars page advertising "1000 Single Asian Women".

Is there any way for Mike to block that specific ad? It must be tied to the site somehow since all of the other ads are about cars, or electronics, and I never see it on any other web site.

I have nothing against Asia, or Asian people, or Asian women, even thousands of them, but the ad makes it look like I'm looking for love, instead of Z conversation.

I'm using Google Chrome with Flash Player set to click to play, so many ads get blocked. But the 1000 Women somehow always get through.

Some of the ads here are handled by AdSense, a google service. On the top right of every ad is a blue triangle, if you click that you get an AdSense help page which contains an explanation of whats happening and a link to your interests page:

On your list of interests you can add or remove content and at the bottom you can outright block ads from certain vendors. You can also unsubscribe completely but frankly given the fact that i am required to see ads on the internet i would prefer they be at least sort of relevant. I get ads for cars instead of yeast infection cream..

Other ad services companies provide similar methods for customizing ads, just look for the blue triangle

Thanks, that is very helpful. Now all I have to do is figure out if 1000 Single Asian Women falls under the Fitness or Sports categories.

Edit - opted out of everything but Autos & Vehicles, Classic Vehicles, and Nissan, closed all browser windows, reopened, went to classiczcars.com, and the very first banner ad is "1000 Single Asian Women". Maybe it's the lowest common denominator (no offense) for those with few interests.

Got a new one. Makes me wonder about the old internet spying. I've made some comments about Asia and China in other posts on this forum. And the more I post on Asia, the more ads show up.

Experiment - Russia, Russian women, The Netherlands, Holland, Dutch women. The last three are for you EuroDat.

The Asian women are gone, and no new Russian or Dutch women came to take their place. I almost miss them. But the variety of new ads is better. Pizza, flea and tick control, different car ads. A fair trade.

Since the Asian women were gone I just assumed all 20,000 of them found whoever they were looking for and didn't need to advertise any more.

The original 1000 women made another visit. I copied a few other ads just for fun. Smokey the Bear, what looks like a Communist Capitalism ad, one from a store I'll never visit.

This one fits.

A least one ad is relevant, the Z car one.

What would happen if you signed up for all 1,000 women to show up at your house at the same time?

I'm a perv, and don't remember seeing any of these ads. Damn!

But I usually ignore all the peripherial stuff on the site.

The 1000 Asian women are popping up often today, like every two or three page refreshes. It has to be site-related, they don't show up n the other forums I visit. I haven't seen the ones from Post 18 again either. Weird.
