April 5, 200322 yr comment_32782 Pull the Valve cover and rotate the engine to TDC compression stroke one #1 cylinder. Both cam lobes should be pointing up.Remove the dizzy cap and note the location of the rotor. it should be almost (2 ~ 16 degrees) to the #1 spark wire post on the dizzy cap. If this checks out your ignition timing isn't the problem. April 6, 200322 yr Author comment_32812 The problem was stuck rings!! A fresh hone - New rings.Compression is 182 - 185 psi across all 6!! Fired up on first stroke!I'm a happy man.
