June 26, 201410 yr comment_450489 I agree, find something better. But the inspector described things most all 240s have, "The interior carpet is just laying there. The dash is loose. There are wires running out of the center console for the speakers. The blower motor doesn't work. The test drive was good. The engine idles rough but when you drive it it runs good. I did smellsome gas." June 26, 201410 yr comment_450500 @ Genghis . Honestly at that price point what kind of a semi/classic convertible conversion were you expecting . It is a TOY to play with. The seller did drop the asking price to 5,700.00 take the report as bargaining tool and see if you can get it for less , if this is what you want . IMO it is a conversation piece , a nice coffee and gas meet toy, if this Z were near me at that coin , it will be on my driveway. June 27, 201410 yr Author comment_450530 Thanks a lot guys. Hmm seems like Z fan has a dissenting opinion, so I'm a little confused. Z fan your point is well taken, I understand what you mean. It's just the concerns over the bondo, rust, and possible indications of major structural issues as indicated by the door separation thing as pointed out by psdenno that seem to be really problematic, because everybody above basically said the vastly most important thing was the body condition. Some problems I expect, but it seems like the wise folks on here recommend turning tail and running from anything with these body problems. Also, I wish it could just be a toy, but I need it to be a daily ! Again, thanks a lot guys, you've been really helpful. Any other input is certainly appreciated! Very helpful forum here! P.S. Z-fan feel free to poach it and fly out here and drive it back to MD, ! June 27, 201410 yr comment_450549 @ Genghis, if that price point is your budget for a DD car to enjoy in the sun get a used Miata , Z's to be use as DD duty will be well above that figure and I believe that the wise folks here will agree that the S30 is a nostalgic TOY .
