SteveJ Posted June 20, 2014 Share #1 Posted June 20, 2014 It's a little unusual to see so many 240Zs listed at the same time in my neck of the woods.Datsun Z Series Historical Race Car | eBayDatsun Z Series 240Z | eBayDatsun Z Series 240Z | eBayI've seen the last two in person. I know the seller of the third car. Chet is a member of the Georgia Z Club. This isn't the first Z he has restored. Carl Beck Posted June 20, 2014 Share #2 Posted June 20, 2014 If I were looking for a 240Z - Chet's Red Z would be one I would buy. You can bet everything is done right to begin with - that is the only way he works. Chet is a principle in Sunbelt Performance - and they rebuilt my original BRE Engine - I wouldn't have trusted anyone else.Datsun Z Series 240Z | eBayFWIW,Carl B. SteveJ Posted June 20, 2014 Author Share #5 Posted June 20, 2014 I felt the white one had a rather poor level of detailing, especially since they were trying to sell it for $16,900 about a month or two ago. It seemed like a $10,000 car to me. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/49475-ebay-listings-in-georgia/#findComment-450109 Share on other sites
Carl Beck Posted June 21, 2014 Share #6 Posted June 21, 2014 Hi Steve:$10K "might" be a little low in todays market - we would have to see it in person. Nonetheless, I agree - poorly presented - and with 260Z Door Panels, nonstick radio and Green showing behind the rear deck carpet… you have to wonder…It would be encouraging to see values get back to where they were 6 years ago.. If the did more people might be encouraged to put a little more effort and money into refreshing and or restoring them.FWIW,Carl B. SteveJ Posted June 21, 2014 Author Share #7 Posted June 21, 2014 I was pointing out the green to my wife just about an hour ago. I saw the car in person at Caffeine & Octane three weeks ago. There wasn't much attention to detail, especially under the hood. I didn't try to look underneath, though, so I can't tell you anything about the floor pans or frame rails. Z fan Posted June 22, 2014 Share #11 Posted June 22, 2014 (edited) The red Z was a no sale, Ebay at times makes no sense , here a clean specimen and no takers. The Z market is a complete puzzle . SteveJ Posted June 23, 2014 Author Share #12 Posted June 23, 2014 I'll see what's up with Chet's car. With the auction ended early, something's up. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/49475-ebay-listings-in-georgia/#findComment-450274 Share on other sites
