Blue's post above was from July 2014.  So, unless he's figured out time travel, he's not back with us.  Looks like he hasn't checked in since December.

I'm positive he's with us! I bet if I posted something even dumber than my normal ones, he'd ring my phone at least. He has a good heart and loves to help out dummies like me. I understand why he dropped out, there's people on here that don't like any opinions other than theirs. It's a damn public forum! Who cares if he doesn't like Chinese junk, move on to another thread and help somebody.

I would hope that we could avoid the ridiculous flaming that happens on the other Z car sites. We have never had that here and I hope we never do. We are all adults here, not 20somethings living in their mom's basement trolling everything and everybody. If we get even a hint of it the moderators take care of it. I won't look at zcars.com and hybridz anymore because of the flaming...just not worth it. This site is welcoming and patient with newbies unless they get chippy, then someone takes the time to try to educate them. Thanks, Mike, for this site.

Pretty sure he said he was just tired of the internet.  Too many ads.  An objective look will show that the internet can be unhealthy.  Not really meant for humanities well-being, it's been hijacked to sell more stuff.  Easy to see the need for taking a break.

Turning his "Chinese Junk" slogan into his forum signature was a poor choice, in my opinion. It verged on politicking, and sometimes came off as a bit of a xenophobic rant. People should be free to buy what they want, and personally I don't care where things come from as long as they are well designed, well made and don't rip anybody off. And 'we' were copying China before China copied 'us'.

When you think about it, this forum probably would not exist if Blue's type of sensibilities had been dominant 46 years ago. Does "Don't buy Japanese junk" ring a bell...?

Correct especially the one site where the appointed moderator likes to go off on his infantile rants.

I pretty much told him to go eff himself. I don,t care who here likes him.

Life is too short for his BS.

People have their positives and negatives.  A slight shift in his viewpoint and everybody's on board.  Product quality does, in general, seem to diminish as companies try to squeeze more profit out.  A rant about the people who waste their money on poor quality products would be reasonable.  Ranting about where it's made is just misguided.

Who knows, he might be out campaigning.  Feel the Bern!

If I'm thinking about the same guy, I'm with you. He could shove all his knowledge up his impulsive a**.  If you're not helping, the ranting and raving makes you seem ignorant no matter what you know. 

I think the hot California sun mixed with some intoxicants has made him irreverent.
