Don't know if this always works but Blue's post no. 4 on this thread may help:

http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/website-development-bugs/48100-wheres-google-search.html

The site search engine seems to pick any word that I search for instead of only showing threads that have all of the words I am looking for. I can still get useful info sometimes if I can think of a unique word in one of the posts and search only on that word.

Here's a convoluted way that worked for me. (I was experimenting just now.)

1. Go to your inbox.

2. Click on Subscriptions

3. Click on Thread Starter

4. Go to the bottom of the page to navigate to a different "page of threads" until you find the ones you started.

In the Google bar -

site:classiczcars.com grannyknot

plus any key words of interest.

Google is all about Search so I don't think that any of the web site hosts even worry about their search engines any more. Google is just too far ahead.

OR - the "other" search box, above the one with the magnifying glass, is actually a link to Google search. It only searches classiczcar, so same effect.
