Posted July 28, 201410 yr comment_452380 If you wanted to customize your valve cover with come engraving or such, you 'd need to first mill the fins off the top, leaving the mounts for the spark plug wire holders. Is there enough material on the top of the rocker box so you could mill it flat without going all the way through? I think so, and I'm interested if anyone has done anything like this. July 28, 201410 yr comment_452388 A friend of a friend did a hack job for me. There was enough metal with the top machined off.I was thinking that once it is flat, a cnc'ed plate of your design could be fastened to the top.As well, a tapped hole and right angled barbed fitting installed in the firewall end would allow the removal of the top vent fitting. You would simply have to mound an extension tube under the internal roof baffle to draw from the centre of the valve cover.
