Page back buttons don't always work

Don't know if you can help this but I've also seen it on other forums that accept advertising.

My normal method to viewing the forums is to click on New Posts. If a thread interests me, I will click on the first or last entry button. After reading the new entries for the thread, I click on the Page Back button to re-display the New Post list.

Awhile back, the Page Back key would stop working and when I displayed the history list, I would see hundreds of Ad sites displacing my valid list items. This has appeared to stop, but another problem is now occurring.

Intermittently on this forum the Page Back button goes inop and when I display the history list, I get the following top entry:

the balance of the entry is truncated in my list display.

Every time I hit the Page Back key, a duplicate entry is made in the history list and my desired page slips farther and farther down the list.

At best, this is an annoyance, causing multiple key strokes to re-display my list. It greatly detracts from the user-friendliness of the forum.

If you can't eliminate the spurious posts, do you have a simple work around?

I don't know if you get paid for these multiple postings, you should. I can almost bet the ad buyer is paying for impressions that are never made.
