September 25, 20159 yr comment_478004 Glad to help. As dirty as your heater box was though, I can certainly understand why you were thinking a filter was necessary. That thing was a dirty dusty mess! Was the entire car like that when you started? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/49817-hi-from-greece/?&page=3#findComment-478004 Share on other sites
September 25, 20159 yr Author comment_478007 no, the car was in good condition... Most of the dust came from when I did the floors... lot of rust dust went behind the dash and inside the air vents... I was going to remove the dash anyway, so I didn't do a good job covering the dash when I did the floors... September 26, 20159 yr comment_478029 That makes sense. The other pics of the car look clean. I was surprised the heater box was that dusty. Good luck with the re-sealing. Hope your toes are toasty and your windshield clear. November 18, 20168 yr Author comment_506634 hello there... one year later and I still have a lot to do with my car... done few things though and I am happy I knew it was going to be a slow progress due to the lack of time... I do all the things alone and since I have a family with two little boys, the time for my Z is very limited. So, all this time I did the following tasks Removed the factory tar insulation to check for hidden rust Then painted original silver (the oem color is silver) New tar insulation On top of that I added an extra thermal/ noise insulation and I hope tomorrow find time to finish with the jute carpet padding on floors and tunnel I finished the dash, I am really happy with the result... before and after I hope this weekend to finish with the whole interior... lets see... I have told this so many times before Edited November 18, 20168 yr by George_Zed Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/49817-hi-from-greece/?&page=3#findComment-506634 Share on other sites
