Thanks for all the input guys! I will actually be going to check out the vehicle next weekend. The owner said the car has been stored for about 15 years. It was his wifes car, which she purchased from her family. So they are the second owner of this vehicle. I will definitely keep in mind all the things you guys mentioned! Will keep you guys updated as well.

That zed is in pretty good condition overall to what I see from the photos especially for that price. It only seems neglected and hopefully if you buy it, you can revive it back to its glory. It even has AC!

I spent much more than $2,900 on each of my cars a long time ago. I suggest you scoop that car up. Every dime you put into getting that car running will translate to value, I'm certain. That car (reasonably rust free) is worth much more than $2,900 - running. Much more. Realizing it has clutch and brake problems; I don't see why you can't at least turn the engine over without a lot of hassle. You may be in for a big ordeal if you really want to start it. Pull the spark plugs out and listen to it spin - at least. Unless you find something horribly wrong - and I'll bet you don't - snap that baby up!

You can always use a 1 gallon gas can as a temporary tank. Set it next to the car on the ground and route two new rubber fuel lines into the can from the fuel pump and fuel rail return outlet. With new gas, it might just fire up. Be sure to check the oil and turn it over by hand with a 27mm socket on the crank bolt before you try the starter. Good luck!
