August 18, 201410 yr comment_453686 It's nice to see these Japanese cars go for some serious cash. Over $1M for the 2000GTs and $240K for the Cosmo. I was in the Benedict Castle Concours last March in the Japanese category. Both the 2000GT and Cosmo were in attendance and Koji and Terry (JCCS Organizers) let me park next to the 2000GT. It was very cool to see the similarity in the lines. The Japanese cars are shown around minute 9 in the link below. Also, my Z took first in the Japanese category at the event. Not bad given the competition. The Toyota 800 took second and the 2000GT third. The Cosmo didn't even place. And yes, I would be very happy if my Z were worth about a third the price of that 2000GT.Teen Challenge International, Southern California | Benedict Castle Concours Car Show a Big Success!Rich Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/49870-qotw-what%C3%A2%E2%82%AC%E2%84%A2s-the-next-japanese-collectible/#findComment-453686 Share on other sites
