Posted September 13, 201410 yr comment_455341 I have done some minor rock chip repair, sanding, POR15 on the front lower valance and bottom of the fenders. My car is 110 red, which is really persimmon - orange, does anyone have experience with the color match from automotivetouchup.com? For 1977, they do not show 110, but they do for the 72 & 73 240. I suppose I could call them. 9 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/50046-110-red-orange-persimmon-color-paint/ Share on other sites
September 14, 201410 yr comment_455426 Not sure this helps but I have found 918 orange to be a good match for my orange original paint 240. I haven't tried to blend or anything like what I think you are describing, however. I have used to clean up the engine bay panels and a few places on the undercarriage. If you try, you might want to test some inconspicuous spots first. September 15, 201410 yr comment_455481 I bought some touch up paint from amazon.com, actually Jeff's Paint is the seller. I emailed him and told him what I had, 42 year old original paint #918 single stage. He sent me a small container and a brush, it is very close to PERFECT. $8.49 and a really helpful guy. September 15, 201410 yr comment_455486 Sherwin Williams mixed up a 4 oz touchup bottle of 918 and it matches great. They will also put it in a spray can or by the quart. September 22, 201410 yr comment_455846 I didn't need mix numbers just the 918 code for my color. They had it in their computer. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/50046-110-red-orange-persimmon-color-paint/#findComment-455846 Share on other sites
September 22, 201410 yr comment_455862 I've had success with sherwin williams matching from the original color #. My color # is 240 (racing green) and they had no problem looking it up and putting it in a spray can or bottle. I'm using it for door jambs and engine bay re-do's.
