October 9, 201410 yr comment_456808 I've seen auctions where the reserve is set high and the seller colludes with a buyer to drive up the bids. If their fish take the bait the reserve is dropped at the last minute and the colluding buyer stops bidding, leaving the fish with the highest bid. I'm not saying that's what happened here.The same little game happens at the big muscle car auctions.
