Left turn signal works fine but not the right

After rebuilding the switch and testing it, I knew i had fixed it.  When I installed it in my 71 240z, the turn signals still failed to work.  I tested the switch on the column, and it was still showing it worked.

I replaced the flasher relay, and success!  $7 flasher the source of several days of headaches.  I should have tested that sooner.

Well after screwing around with that damned switch!! (In this case "screwing" means disassembling and reassembling 5 times!!) I got left and right signals!!!! The first dis and reassemble was tedious trying not to lose anything and get the tabs off/on without breaking anything. By the 5th time, I had it apart and back together in minutes!!

Master Jedi SteveJ, the Force is strong with you!!!

How did you fixed it?? I have the same problem as you! i had a refurbished turn signal switch sent by Dave Irwin last year. It worked fine for a couple of months, now i have to open the plastic enclosure that surrounds the steering column and bend the bracket down so the right hand marker starts flashing again. Will i need to take down the turn signal switch again and open the tabs to check the ball and bearing? Dave says to return it to him but it will cost me around 50 dollars to ship it back to the US as i am in Panama, Central America.

Picture number one is how it is found inside the enclosure, picture number 2 is how it activates the right marker, front and rear turn lights. Can i fix this myself?
