Posted October 9, 201410 yr comment_456805 1971 240z. Finally was able to register my Z. It hit the road for a while yesterday, and then I realized I don't have high beams. Or I just don't know where the switch is.Should I be equipped with such a luxurious item? October 9, 201410 yr Author comment_456817 The manual states I should have them. It does not state how they are operated. The turn signal stalk does not move forward or back. I fear to break it. But if that is how the operate, I may try pushing a little harder.Cheers Edited October 9, 201410 yr by HuD 91gt Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/50199-do-i-have-highbeams/#findComment-456817 Share on other sites

October 9, 201410 yr comment_456820 The manual states I should have them. It does not state how they are operated.Yes, it does. See page 14 of the owners manual. The turn signal stalk does not move forward or back. I fear to break it. But if that is how the operate, I may try pushing a little harder. The stock switch does pull back. Look at the parts manual at CarPartsManual.com - Online Parts Catalogs for Classic Cars. Find the turn signal switch and see if it looks different from what you have. If it does look different, I suggest you post a picture. October 10, 201410 yr Author comment_456834 Well there you have it. Page 14 explained my answer. I only saw the reference on page 11.I'll take a look at mine again. It looks the same, perhaps there is something restricting it's movement. Thanks Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/50199-do-i-have-highbeams/#findComment-456834 Share on other sites
