My advice would be to have the carbs rebuild by ztherapy and use the stock mechanical fuel pump, after that you will LOVE your car. 

 

It's very hard to get your carbs right even with a rebuild kit, you might be missing certain things, the guys at z therapy see right away..

 

I had the same problem with my old carbs, and things got so much better when I slapped on the carbs from Ztherapy, haven't touched the carbs since, only to add some oil in the dampers.

 

It will cost some money, but your problems are gone right away.
