I traveled from California to Upstate New York to inspect the car way back in April of 2002, when it was advertised in Hemmings Motor News. At that time the asking price was around $12-14K.

The car had small rust bubbles on the lower rear fender (driver side, I think), which concerned me based on the asking price back then. The other turn off was that I contacted the dealership days in advance that I was flying out to see it. When I arrived the car was still sitting in an outdoor carport coated with dust and it had a dead battery. Frankly, I would have hoped they would have prep it and made sure it started before I arrived. Otherwise, other than the non-original mods others have pointed out, the car was solid. I assume that car has been repainted since I saw it last.

Beautiful car and I'll also be interested to see what it goes for. Regardless of its selling price, it's pretty awesome just to see a 240Z in the company of some of the other cars in those photos.

Someone mentioned the seat pattern is wrong. That's because the seats are wrong. The car wouldn't have had fully reclining seats until 1972.
