Thsi has been happening since yesterday night. After hitting "Post" the new posting will post and display correctly, but the page will reload to the Editing page. If you open a new window you can se that your post made it through. This can lead to a double post.

Then, after the post is submitted, if you hit Edit, you just get the little swirly thing, forever.

Also, it took me a few minutes to find what I think used to be called Site Support. Sorry, but the small type for "Webiste Development..." under the "Management" label is hard to find and not intuitive for a non-IT based geek. My geekness is in the sciences. We tend to avoid Management because they might say no.

yea, I noticed some of these strange anomalies yesterday as well. It's probably due to the update I did yesterday. I'm really not sure what is happening with NGINX, because it's been disabled on the server. I'll try to see if I can enable it again to get it working. I previously disable NGINX, which is a web-server cache, due to other reasons. I'll work on it for the next few minutes. But, if I can't get it working I wouldn't worry... we are moving to a new software package this evening.

Ok, I figured it out. There is a problem with the AJAX command (a certain type of software code) that let's you edit the post in the "quick reply" field below the thread. I disabled this feature and now, when you edit a post, it will open in the full editor.

I clicked it but there's no quote. Just the Reply box.

But at least it posted right away and went back to the thread. This is supposed to have my Reply quoted, but there's nothing.

I tried to Edit my post about "Reply to this thread" and I just get a blank Reply window. Basically, no post content is carried over to the new window when you Edit or Reply with Quote.

Edit - actually it's not a new window, the previous content is just disappeared. If someone clicks "Edit" they're going to lose everything that they wrote previously. Not good! I copied the words above using Copy.

And, the latest changes have kind of messed up the view if you're not logged in. Only the very last post shows in a thread, with a diagram of previous post titles listed, but no content shown. You can't see the full thread content unless you log in.

I hope you have a "Go Back" procedure....

Checking the Edit function. It still deletes everything. I'm sure Mike's working on it.
