Well, if you are reading this, you're now using our new website design!  Welcome to the new look of The Classic Zcar Club.  I just wanted to take a moment and let all of you know this latest project has been an extreme labor of love.  After testing this over the last several months, I've been able to migrate all of our data within a period of just a few days.  While there is still more work to be done, the website is now ready for you guys to jump back in with both feet.

All of our data has been migrated.  If you are looking for something that was in our old site, please give me another few days to bring it online.  All of the data is here, but, most of it has been disabled for viewing until I have a chance to go through and formalize the permissions.

The old site is still online, you can see it at this URL:  http://legacy.classiczcars.com

In the next few days I'll be working to bring you all of the things you have been used to seeing on our site.  Feel free to reply to this message with your questions or concerns.  Thanks again for your patience and enjoy the site!

Mike

Thanks for all your hard work!

Is there a way to see more "Recent Topics"? I think there were 10 before and now there's 5.

Can you contact me about advertising on our site? I think I have a good one if you're interested. cbuczesk@comcast.net

Way to go Mike, this looks like a much more robust system.  BARF (Bay Area Riders Forum) which I am also a member of did something similar several years ago and i think the biggest mistake they made was fragmenting the forums too far.  Some things like "East bay group rides" got their own section and because of the narrow audience people stopped posting there, and the dozens of other smaller areas.  I also think we could do without the borders/background image in favor for a wider content area.  And it appears that when i click the view new content button it defaults to showing me the newest members instead of the newest forum content.  All constructive criticism, this looks great.

I hate to be whiny and I do appreciate progress.  But the font in the posts is small and washed out.  The font in this window I'm typing in is darker, higher contrast, and bigger.  Easy to read.  It takes work to read the posts in the threads.  Any way to make the posts look like what I'm typing right now?  Even better, a little thicker and one size bigger.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the feedback.  Keep your comments coming because I am still going through the system and making changes.  You'll notice subtle changes as the site matures into a place where we want it to be.  Fonts and readability are definitely on my list along with implementation and navigation improvements.  I still have quite a lot of data to weed through, especially in the articles and gallery sections.
