For those of you who don't subscribe, you are missing out this month. It seems our "illustrious" leader Mike has written an article for this months issue. Not only that, but our site is advertised in the magazine as well.

I'll let Mike give you "the rest of the story" and leave it at that.:classic:

Ed, click on their banner ad at the top of our main page and you'll be able to subscribe and also order back issues either by phone or online......

Don't forget to tell them where you got this information! They want to know that we are making sales for them.

How many magazines do you subscribe to that are shipped internationally? Do you know how much shipping is for a magazine from America to Australia? About the same as the magazine costs itself. That, coupled with our poor exchange rates give me no chance of getting that magazine any time soon. I would much rather spend that money as a donation to Mike than to get a single magazine transported internationally.

Understand my statement now, Steve?

So, do you have indoor plumbing or not?

J/K.

Have you checked with the magazine and asked them what the international postage rate would be? If you aren't asking for 1st class postage, or DHL or.... they might be able to send it via regular Postal service.

It might take it an extra 4-6 weeks but it WOULD get there.

I don't think shipping to AU would be expensive. However, Sport Z Magazine might have to start paying some kind of international taxation on products that are shipped out of the country.

It might be better if someone could volunteer to ship this magazine as a personal item to AU.

Two years ago I bought a magazine on eBay from Australia. It was a thin one that had been a "free" issue when published. My winning bid was under $5 dollars USD. With shipping (I don't believe the guy padded the cost) it ended up costing me $14.00 USD total to get the magazine to my door.

It was interesting to see the different writing style and adverts from another country, but I'll be checking carefully on mailing costs before I do that again

That's about what Alfadog (and I) was expecting. Slightly more than double the US subscription rate of $17.95 USD.

When you figure in the exchange rate, you have to want it (any magazine) pretty bad, and have some disposable income to spare.

This isn't a critcism of Bret240, or Alfadog, or Sport Z. Just calling it like I see it.

I'm pretty sure that you'll enjoy the magazine.

One thing to mention, though, since this thread was started about Mike's article; if you ordered after Feb 24th, your subscription will start with the Summer issue, so you won't get the Spring issue with the Resto article. You'll need to buy it as a back issue, unless you can make an arrangement with Art, or David from Sport Z.
