Posted November 20, 201410 yr comment_458954 First, Hagerty is pissing off one their customers..............me. Has anyone noticed that Hagerty virtually ignores Japanese cars? So seldom are they discussed that they seem non-existent. If anyone can show me where Hagerty give Japanese cars equal time, I want to see it. November 20, 201410 yr comment_458955 I would not say equal time, but here is something.https://www.hagerty.ca/articles-videos/Articles/2014/05/15/Rising-Sons Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/50458-hagerty-classic-cars-magazine-and-weekly-newsgrrrr/#findComment-458955 Share on other sites
November 20, 201410 yr comment_458957 More time means more attention, which could translate to increased premiums. I'd rather be flying under the radar Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/50458-hagerty-classic-cars-magazine-and-weekly-newsgrrrr/#findComment-458957 Share on other sites
November 20, 201410 yr comment_458964 Hmm, I was browsing the pictures associated with the Rising Sons article, and I noticed one of the comments made on May 6, 2014, was from a Bryan P. from Virginia, followed by one from a Carl B. from Clearwater, FL. Perhaps Bryan already knew about this article. In the links, I found this series of articles where they drove a Jensen Interceptor and 280Z on a road trip. http://www.hagerty.com/articles-videos/Articles/2012/04/29/Phoenix-to-Flagstaff Some others (mostly reader rides type articles) http://www.hagerty.com/yourstories/2014/07/11/The-first-car-I-dreamed-of-having-was-A-Datsun-240Z-20140711103708 http://www.hagerty.com/articles-videos/Articles/2006/07/12/1973-Datsun-240Z-Race-Car http://www.hagerty.com/articles-videos/Articles/2013/11/20/Japan-FTW http://www.hagerty.com/yourstories/2014/07/11/Wasn39t-meant-to-be20140711103102 (tear jerker) http://www.hagerty.com/yourstories/2014/06/20/Loss-leads-to-love20140620115611 http://www.hagerty.com/yourstories/2014/02/15/Unintended-Forever-Car20140215010649 http://www.hagerty.com/yourstories/2014/07/18/Yes-Dear20140718074918 (nice chuckle) Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/50458-hagerty-classic-cars-magazine-and-weekly-newsgrrrr/#findComment-458964 Share on other sites
November 20, 201410 yr comment_458968 Our Z , is loved by a small aficianado group in comparison to the hobby other classic motorcars . The values on the Z are all over board , a good thing that makes it an affordable toy. November 20, 201410 yr comment_458969 I get Classic Motorsports Magazine and with a few exceptions all the talk about are British cars and Ferraris. Oh, and all the expensivo auctions and Concourse d'elegances. I don't think I would be able to drive a million dollar car on the street, and I certainly wouldn't fit in at a Concourse. But when you drive your Zed on the street it gets a lot of looks, comments, and "my *fill in the blank* had one of those" and the stories just keep coming. I guess I really don't care what Hagerty thinks about my Zed as long as they keep insuring it for what I think it's worth. We have the pleasure of owning the worlds best "sleeper" classic car and still affordable to own, run, and work on. Just my 2 cents. Cheers, Mike Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/50458-hagerty-classic-cars-magazine-and-weekly-newsgrrrr/#findComment-458969 Share on other sites
