Wheels... Beating A Dead Horse

I've been doing research for a few weeks now and asking around and trying to gauge what will fit and not rub. I have an 11/70 240z with the stock rotors, hub and suspension and want to put an 8 spoke wheel such as the Watanabe's, Panasports or Rota RB's on my Z. I have narrowed it down to 15x7 wheels with a 205 size tire (heard that this is what to use for the setup I have. I was hoping for some input on the offset though. Any and all help would be appreciated and if I have my facts wrong at any point, please let me know!

This may not help much but I have 15" panasports on mine, but not sure of the width or aspect ratio. I like the look, it doesn't fill up the wheel well as much as some of the 16" setups I've seen. With low aspect performance tires my total wheel/tire combo has a smaller diameter that stock which impacts my speedo.

That should be a 0 offset. I have a15x7 0 offset with 225s on my race car and it doesn't rub. I'm running coil overs and rolled fender lips but 205s should clear everything on a stock Z.

15x7  215/60/15 No rubbing but my rear wheel wells are rolled.

The wheels that came with my car rubbed, and I skinnied down a bit.  Here is the relevant thread:

I'm still happy with my tires.  I haven't had any rubbing problems, and the steering is much easier with a slightly narrower tire (closer to stock dia and width, but on a 15x7 wheel).

15X7, zero offset, with 205/50-15 fits fine on our 73. No rubbing, no rolling fenders, it simply fits.

It is the front lower valance on a stock Z that you have to worry about IF the car is lowered.  ON stock springs you would probably be okay.  

 

I had to run 205/55/15's.  OR 195/60/15's.  205/60/15s rubbed when I turned and backed out.  

 

Just keep it a bit conservative and you will be fine.

The closest thing to 0 offset I seem to see is +4... does anyone know if MSA's 15x7 wheels are all zero offset?

They've been out of stock for a month at least but promised me they will have them before Christmas.

I'm sure MSA would have 0 offset too.  Call them, ask about their holiday sales.  They're doing a 3 part sale.
