Ford's better idea to pump up sales of the old Fox bodied Capri's and Mustangs when the sales were going downhill.

ASC did the convertible conversion, since at that time, the factories were afraid to sell convertibles due to the insurance and all the modifying they would have had to do to the chassis.

I think Mclaren did some suspension work, but other than that it's nothing more than a modified 5.0 Capri or Mustang with a couple badges on it.

Chrysler did one similar with Maserati on one of their stumbling models...
