Posted December 4, 201410 yr comment_459799 Hi! I'm rebuilding transmission from my 240Z. I live in Portugal and here 72-73 240Z's came with FS5C71B gearbox. Anyone has FS5C71B FSM in PDF? I really need it! Thanks in advance! Regards from Portugal! Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/50549-fs5c71b-transmission/ Share on other sites
December 4, 201410 yr comment_459800 ozdat.com says Haynes Manual for the 240Z has the tranny info, http://ozdat.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=31419 Here's the FSM download page, http://www.xenons30.com/reference.html, I forgot about this. I downloaded the on for a '77 and it had the transmission chapter. December 4, 201410 yr Author comment_459802 Thanks, siteunseen! I own Haynes book, but it only refers FS5C71A and FS5W71B. They are different. And 72 FSM say nothing about how to check FS5C71B transmission. That's why I need specialize literature about FS5C71B transmission. But thanks again for quick answer! December 4, 201410 yr comment_459817 That transmission never came out in the US or Canada. You could try a PM to Alan T. He might have one in a PDF version. You are probably goinv to run into trouble getting parts for the synchros. The C transmissions had the porche type steel servo. The W type was with the bronze alloy warner type. Japan would be the best bet for parts otherthan bearings and seals which you can source locally.I think they started using the B (two piece housing) version from 1972 onwards until they changed to the W type. The A type was the 3 piece housing.Chas Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/50549-fs5c71b-transmission/#findComment-459817 Share on other sites
