More Next-Gen Z Speculation

It is just okay in my book.  The comment about the front looking like a CRZ is pretty accurate.  It would be nice to see the Z back at affordable level pricing.  If they could get a base model in to the $25K range that would be ideal.  I currently have an FR-S 6MT and for $25K it is a lot of fun but for what it is, I think it was a bit much.

I've long since lost any faith in Nissan to build anything small and light when it comes to a sportscar...

Too bad really, since it's something they used to be great at.  Now they would rather over-engineer everything and give us a big, heavy, lump of a car, rather than a small, exciting, spritely and fun drive.

Ah well, I own a 240Z, so it's not like I would buy whatever new car they release anyway - shame to see a legacy die though.

Several years ago, when my wife had a 2008 Mustang Convertible, Ford sent me a market survey. In it, they asked my opinion about a direct injected turbo four as a base engine for a future 'stang.

I think my response, along with hundreds of others caused Ford to delay introduction for several years.

I am at a loss to come up with the US market light convertibles cited in the article.what will they will compete against besides the FRS and BRZ.

At any rate the small Z platform will be the parts source for the Dx, so I hope it goes forward.
