9teen7t240z Posted December 10, 2014 Share #1 Posted December 10, 2014 Hi, All, Feels great to be back! After taking an 8 month hiatus from my chrome plating venture due to health issues, I am finally back in the saddle again. Over the course of the past 6 months or so, I've had quite a few requests and inquiries regarding my future plans for the plating service. Also, some of you have inquired as to whether I'll be offering the year-end forum promotion that we've done for the past 2 years. As for the future plans, I have recently taken on a partner whom many of you may know (Randy Lewis). Randy is an active Datsun guy who owns a 240z, 510, and a 311 roadster and is even more passionate about Datsun's than I am. Moving forward, Randy will be spearheading the sales and marketing effort for the venture and I will be dedicating my time to the production issues. This new, improved model is called Vintage Chrome, and, as the name implies, is focused on providing high quality, affordable chrome plating of both plastic and metal to the classic car market. We are launching Vintage Chrome with a year-end special sale for all parts received at our Las Vegas depot by December 31, 2014. Our costs to chrome plate plastic have more than doubled on many pieces over the past two years and continue to rise so prices will never be lower than they are now. We are reducing these prices by 20% from our regular prices for this forum promotion only. I'll be listing some individual prices for many of the more common Z parts in a subsequent post. In the meantime, I am attaching some sample pics of past jobs that we've done. For specific quotes or more detailed general information, you may contact Randy at vintagechromellc@gmail.com. Happy Holidays to all, and many thanks to those of you who patiently awaited my recovery after last year's heart surgery. Mike

9teen7t240z Posted December 10, 2014 Author Share #3 Posted December 10, 2014 hmmmm.....looks like my first post somehow "imploded" (). That's what I get for trying to cut and paste. Looks like I'm going to have to return to the drawing board. Does anyone have an idea as to why the text was suddenly reduced to an illegible size? In the immortal words of Lloyd Bridges in the movie "Airplane"......."Looks like I picked a bad week to quit sniffing glue". Don't know how to remedy the undersized font issue.....can anyone help? 9teen7t240z Posted December 10, 2014 Author Share #6 Posted December 10, 2014 Rossiz, Sorry for the illegible copy on the posting. I don't understand what happened, as my "post preview" showed everything as being just as intended. Anyway, I will ask Randy to revise the post properly tomorrow and get back to you with a quote on your request. I do remember responding to you sometime ago (shortly after my heart attack) and really do appreciate the patience you've shown since that time. I am actually considering chroming my vents as well, as a result of your original post. Thanks for your patience.....we will correct this techno issue and get back to you right away. Bonzi Lon Posted December 10, 2014 Share #7 Posted December 10, 2014 A trick a youngster showed me to make the page bigger, is to hold down the 'ctrl' key (lower left of keyboard) while turning the mouse wheel one way or the other. However I am still computer stupid. Bonzi Lon
