Posted December 18, 201410 yr comment_460508 Hi all. I have my dash out doing repairs and decided to replace the incandescent bulbs with LED. I've done the swap, but want to test that they work. Does anyone know the power lead to the bulb lights? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/50618-dash-light-power/ Share on other sites
December 18, 201410 yr comment_460518 I don't know if this will help but when I rebuilt my combo switch the dash lights were tied into the switch. Â I had to look and see, it's a green wire with a white stripe. Â When I put 12v on the solder blob it lit up the dash. December 19, 201410 yr comment_460558 Aftermarket or stock? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/50618-dash-light-power/#findComment-460558 Share on other sites
December 19, 201410 yr Author comment_460571 Aftermarket I think, although I don't know how to make up for the lack of dual purpose gauges. I haven't really done any research yet. December 19, 201410 yr comment_460575 Im thinking of going aftermarket as well but have not looked into it. If I do I want, besides the tach and speedo, a temp, oil pressure, fuel, and volt gauge. Im pretty sure speedhut makes a "combo" gauge of a couple of the ones I want like a temp/oil pressure gauge. I could care less about a clock. Not trying to keep everything bone stock on my 280. Let me know what you find if you are looking into it. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/50618-dash-light-power/#findComment-460575 Share on other sites
December 20, 201410 yr Author comment_460590 I looked at Speedhut today, and they do make dual gauges, but only 4". The Z needs 2 1/8 I think. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/50618-dash-light-power/#findComment-460590 Share on other sites
