Posted March 11, 200322 yr comment_29364 Hi everyone! I just wanted to say thanks to mike for the help he gave me while I had trouble logging in. I'm a new member and when I signed up I did'nt follow the insructions and disabled the cookies so everytime I tried to log on the system did'nt recognize me. Well after e-mailing mike 3 times we figured out what I did wrong and now no problems. I'm alot better with cars than computers! Also thanks to everyone who gave their opinion on my post: whether or not to restore or modify my 70 240. I think I going to go back as original as possible (wallet willing) but not obsess about every little detail to make it concours correct. Also just bought a 1971 240 from the second owner all original, solid pans, rails, even battery tray, but some rot on the rockers and quarters. Thats about as good as it gets here in Va. I feel like I did really well on the price too; $750 bucks! I plan on getting a digital camera soon so I'll post pics of both cars in their present state. March 11, 200322 yr Author comment_29368 No this was a local car in my area (Lynchburg Va.). It wasn't advertised it was just one I had known about for a long time. I finally went and talked to the owner on Sunday, lokked at the car and made him an offer. He said it made a difference that it was going to somebody who appreciated Z's. Plus when I saw that it had the 2 outlet monza muffler just like my 260 from years ago I really had to have it. I guess it goes to show that if you see a z somewhere don't be afraid to ask if its for sale.P.S. does anybody know where I can still get one of those 2 outlet monza mufflers today? They really do sound sweet! Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/5063-just-wanted-to-say-thanks/#findComment-29368 Share on other sites
