psdenno Posted May 20, 2015 Share #181 Posted May 20, 2015 Great look! You've inspired me to get my covers out of the box and onto the Z.Dennis

oranngetang Posted May 24, 2015 Share #185 Posted May 24, 2015 Show and shine tomorrow I guess... kinda was looking forward to getting the canoe torn down tomorrow, but people were insistent the Datsun be there. The movie wasn't Smokey and the Bandit like I had thought, but I hadn't seen this one either.
Popular Post Red7 Posted May 24, 2015 Popular Post Share #186 Posted May 24, 2015 (edited) I collected my 72 from Southamptom Docks in the UK on Tuesday fresh from its 6 weeks of travelling from Spokane WA via LA to there, and bought it home through the worst weather it's probably seen since it was manufactured! So yesterday I gave it a real good clean, Polish, wax and seal, engine bay next..... Edited May 24, 2015 by Red7

Zup Posted May 24, 2015 Share #190 Posted May 24, 2015 Red7 If the outside of your Z is a preview, the engine bay should be a real treat for all that love to see them as original. Some serious coin has been spent on this beauty even before you imported it to the UK. I can't imagine the cartage and tariff fees associated with that. You should be in Z nirvana now. Thanks for sharing your photos of such a fine example! Jim D."Zup"
Red7 Posted May 24, 2015 Share #191 Posted May 24, 2015 Thanks Zup for your kind words, I have the invoices and receipts for the rebuild and they're an eye opener to be honest, the engine bay just needs a clean up, steam clean and polish, I like doing the detailing, Here's the engine bay at the moment, I'm going to anodise the throttle linkage etc over the winter when it's stored 👠
gundee Posted May 25, 2015 Share #192 Posted May 25, 2015 I recently finished refreshing the front suspension on my 72.I put on new tie rod ends, new ball joints, poly bushings and bumpsteer spacers.Mine has been lowered so i decided to put the spacers in.I took it for a drive and do not like the feel at all.I was surprised. The suspension feels like it is binding.
