I repacked my front wheel bearings today and removed the dust shields in preparation for brake ducts.

Put my "new" seats in the blue -72 and thats it. Now my barnfind presents itself as a nice car both in and outside.

Had the car checked out at the local expert frame shop to confirm the frame dimensions before restoration... everything is good apparently!

My RT mount arrived today, so I will install it along with the OE mount tomorrow morning. I really want to thank Technoversions for a great looking product and very fast delivery. Their website said that they would not be shipping any orders for about a two week period, but I asked them in the order notes if they could ship it quickly upon their return. Rather than wait, they shipped it right away 2-day express mail. I got it in time to install it prior to my track day and race. I would recommend them to all S30 owners. I have torn OE mounts on every Z I have ever owned and this product should cure the Nissan design flaw once and for good. I will purchase another RT mount from Technoversions for my street Z. Great company!

By the end of the weekend, I should be ready for the track.

Replaced the inner speedometer pinion seal. What a PITA!

Had to dig that %$#@% out with small screwdriver. I think it was original.

I got my new OE and RT diff mounts installed, put my new seat harness in, and got the brake ducts partially done. Back at it tomorrow. I need to tune the carbs with my new wide band O2, finish the brake ducts, and tidy up a few last things before my track day next week.

Spent the day with Zup at a nearby casino classic car show. Huge turnout. 99.9% Detroit iron, and sadly, no import or daily driver class or JimD & his beautiful 240 would have surely walked away with a 1st place victory. (I think he is trying to close the gap with jfa.series1 in trophy collecting) There was a total of 4 import cars including our Datsuns.

Tough to compete when your in the 1960 - 1980 classic class with all those domestic beauties.

A great time, thanks Jim ... and I only lost 20 bucks in the casino

Thank you Jim for another very enjoyable outing with the Z'z!

The weather was warm in stark contrast to the sweltering temps and humidity in Memphis. A very nice drive over to the show---

For a moment we thought Cliff had shown up in his non-Datsun entry----a Duster!

We thought sure it would win this coveted one of a kind trophy for it's meticulous attention to detail.

Alas, it was not Cliff's entry but an Arkie cousin's prized piece of Detroit history.

Jim S. explaining the transition of 240z to 280z to one of many respectful, very complimentary participants for the only 2 Japanese sports car entries at the event. We were totally surrounded by American ground pounding muscle and a century of Big Three production.
