Well i tightened all the screws hope it works. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/50719-how-to-adjust-choke-cable-in-a-72-240z/?&page=2#findComment-671364 Share on other sites
November 12, 2024Nov 12 comment_671365 I have my fingers crossed 🤞 By the way... Here's a link if you ever need to replace your choke cables. I did mine several years ago and it made a big difference on how smoothly it operated. https://woodworkerb.com/home/datsun-240z-rebuild/repair-choke-cable/  Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/50719-how-to-adjust-choke-cable-in-a-72-240z/?&page=2#findComment-671365 Share on other sites
November 13, 2024Nov 13 comment_671366 It's this little plastic switch with a small button that moves in and out in relation to your choke handle arm. All the way foward shouldn't have any contact with the button, therefore turning the light off. Make damn sure there's no contact with the handle and the little button when it's pushed foward (no choke) and you should be good. Where exactly is making contact when the lever is all the way closed? I thought that tightening the upper screw could solve this. Maybe some electric contact cleaner or wd40 can help? Anyone? December 20, 2024Dec 20 comment_672390 Look at this. If the button isn't being pushed in enough you could use small flat washers on the back side of the hold down screws, "stacking" to make up the needed space. It's not easy to do and you could break things that are expensive. The electric cleaner would not hurt but I don't think it will fix your problem. Good luck! https://jdm-car-parts.com/products/datsun-240z-series-2-choke-lever-switch-nos?srsltid=AfmBOoonlV4vSHqd1ekQnh3Qs3rjXDit_l_c3hA_4Jn0dlFKCKikVCQ0 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/50719-how-to-adjust-choke-cable-in-a-72-240z/?&page=2#findComment-672390 Share on other sites
