Nice price, but there are a few red flags - lost title, needs carb work to run smoothly (maybe), all emblems removed, no picture of interior that needs to be "reinserted". But, nice price.

I'm about a 3 hr drive from seattlw. By judging the add I wouldn't waste my time. No title. Says for parts only. Unless he can prove ownership at the dmv (which he should already have) then no one is going to pay 2k just for the police to take it when you try and register it.

I am no legal expert, but with the vin and if the seller fills out an Washington Affidavit of Loss Form, assuming there are no liens, the title should be replaceable.

Without that, there is no way to legally transfer the car into the new owners name.

and ask them questions on the car.

This is a great tool to use when researching vehicle history if you want to track down the previous owners of a car

and ask them questions.....

Looking at the form mentioned on the DMV web site, it seems that they only release the name of the current registered owner on file, not the complete history back to original owner. Perhaps I'm wrong. Anyone ever use this search option recently?
